TLC LIVE delivers personalised online tutoring sessions led by fully qualified teachers. Our innovative platform ensures accessible, engaging learning experiences for children aged 6 to A-level, offering over 35,000 hours of National Curriculum content.
By operating online, we recruit exceptional tutors based on expertise, not location, guaranteeing high-quality support. Our service focuses on improving academic engagement and achievement through tailored one-on-one support. Sessions target skills gaps identified in assessments, fostering confidence and academic growth. Outcomes include bridging educational barriers, helping students re-engage with learning, and achieving qualifications or reintegration into mainstream education.
As a NCFE exam centre, we also provide alternative pathways. These include Level 1 and 2 qualifications, functional skills exams, and a mentoring programme, ensuring students have diverse opportunities to succeed. Measuring Progress We use robust tools to track outcomes, including:
• Baseline and progress assessments every 10 lessons.
• Monitoring behaviour and engagement improvements.
• Feedback forms completed by students and tutors after each session.
• Attendance is carefully managed via reminders and follow-ups from our attendance team, with real-time tracking available through our portal.

Our service focuses on improving academic engagement and attainment by providing personalised one-on-one support. As such, outcomes are geared towards removing barriers in education and supporting children to re-engage in learning, ultimately leading to attainment of qualifications or entry back into mainstream school. Sessions delivered are designed to target skills gaps identified in the assessment, ultimately working towards larger outcomes such as improving academic ability and enhancing confidence through bespoke learning at a level the student is able to engage with.

Admissions Criteria
Our referral process ensures that the student’s voice is heard at every stage. It begins with a planning meeting , to clearly understand the student’s needs, current levels, and desired outcomes. This collaborative approach ensures that the student’s perspective is central to the planning and implementation of their educational programme. Regular 6-week review meetings are suggested to provide additional opportunities for the student’s voice to be heard and for adjustments to be made as needed. Additional Notes
Students are taught independently in separate online classrooms on a ratio of three students to one tutor, as they are in their own separate classroom they have no contact with each other meaning they are still getting the full benefits of 1-2-1 tuition. We can run lessons at anytime, our hours are flexible to accommodate your lessons timetable. We can support a young person anywhere from 1hour per week to 17hours, all we require is 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson/booking.
